Internet Rights & Principles Workshop

The Internet Governance & Human Rights Coalition is organizing the workshop "Internet Governance & Human Rights: Progress & Next Steps". The workshop will be held in Geneva, on September 13, 2009, one day before the European Dialogue on Internet Governance. "The workshop is a mid-term meeting of the Dynamic Coalition and will consolidate the work that the coalition have been doing since the last Internet Governance Forum in December 2008".


The agenda for the meeting is flexible. Particular initiatives and issues we will be looking at, among others, are:

(i) review, deliberate and plan next steps for the Human Readable Privacy iniative

(ii) the idea to organize a Human Rights on the Internet Award @ the IGF in Egypt

The Steering Committee of the Internet Rights and Principles is conformed by representatives from (i) the business sector, for example, Google Inc., among others, (ii) civil society representatives and an Interim Steering Committee Members. The full list of members is available online.
