This conference was an opportunity for civil society leaders and academic experts, particularly in the New European Union Member States, to meet with European data protection authorities and to explore emerging challenges to the protection of personal privacy. The event was held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the
International Conference on Privacy and Data Protection Commissioners.
